Founded in 2013 as Kakoa, our brand evolved in October 2016 when it became Krakakoa. Inspired by the volcanic island that once sat on the waters of the Sunda Straits, we wanted to make it clear to the world that our chocolate is proudly Indonesian.
Our cacao beans are organically-grown and sourced from small farms that practice sustainable farming methods, and our partner farmers are paid more than the Fairtrade Minimum price for their harvest.
